When I took the battery and battery tray off, I noticed that I have a wire harness that is clipped to the battery tray on the side. Well, when I put it back together I noticed that there was a connector that looked like that it wasn't connected. I didn't do anything because I wasn't sure if that is how it was when I started the task. Well, now I am about 95% sure that it is that one connector that needs to hooked to something. I didn't want to fix it right then because whipLash had been down for about two weeks and I just wanted to ride, that I and I was just using hand signals as well, but now that my left turn signal is about to fall off, I will take it apart to fix it because I have an actual reason to tear it apart....:banghead:

Wouldn't you want to repair the light so it is working that way when you do replace the turn signal you don't have to worry about having power to it? Just wondering.

That is right, I have to replace the left one and then while I have it all apart to fix that then I will fix the right one. In fact I am about to head to the dealership so I can pick up the turn signal that I had ordered....

Sorry didn't go back and read that. I guess I'm just the curious type and would want to know why there is no power to the signal.

There is power to the signal, but it is just a solid light, "not blinking" I do not have running lights to my turn signals, they are turn signals only....

I got back from the dealer a little while and low and behold, I got the right one, So now it is just a matter of putting it in. I think that I am going to go for a ride though, it is pretty nice outside.

So after all this rhetoric about it not working your not going to say what it was that caused it to fail.
