Guys, I talked with my buddy down the street who rides a Heritage and he wears WILEYX
goggles. They look like streamlined shades, not bulky like regular goggles, and he says they keep the wind out (even without a windshield) and do not fog up. About $400 with photo grey. I'm thinking seriously about them . . .

 $400.00 I'll stick to my 1/2 helmet with a small drop down dark shield.

Yeah, that's a lot of doughski for some goggles. It says on their website (wileyx) that the military uses them. Johnny, I tried contacts several years back and never got used to them. For now, I'll just go with my "dorky" bubble shield until I get my bike running! It's what I have and will cost me nothing extra.

Well, judgment day has come and gone and the world is falling apart. Hope it hangs together long enough so I can get a ride or two in before it blows up in our faces!
Oh, here's one more addition: a remote oil filter bracket from Fab Kevin.

Very nice sir! I am really liking your set-up. I would definetly invest in a Dyna 2000i electronic ignition. They work great. No messing with points and what-not.

Tommy, Rob's Used Harley Parts has a lot of original Harley wheels and might even be interested in a trade. (He traded my enclosed primary for the open one.)
I may backslide and switch to EI after I get the beast running. Thanks.

Good luck~! Hopefully you know how the set up the mechanical ignition. I don't know jack didely about them. Plus you have a kick start which makes it harder 'cause kicking ain't easy. The EI is fairly simple to set-up.
When are you planning to try and fire her up?

As soon as I install the remaining pieces: drag exhaust (on the way from J&P), oil tank, open primary, oil lines, brake lines, and a little fiddling with the electrical system. Maybe a month?
I must have a speedo on it, (state regs) so I'm going with a mini speedo that will be mounted to the left of the frame just behind the gas tank. A short section of cable will connect it to the tranny.

Sounds very cool. Simple and sweet. Just the way I like it.
I just bought some new STD dual plug, ported and flowed heads for my blue bike. There are supposed to flow about 20% more than stock heads. Also gonna have a Thunderjet valve installed on my S&S super E carb and have the intake manifold cleaned up to flow better.
She is gonna run like naked ape! I can't wait to get them installed~!

Think I can get a bezel for the speedo, but I'm thinking a special bracket might have to be made to attach it to the frame or valve cover. It's hard to find info on that set up.
    Who's mounting Wiley's X? It ain't me!!

I think we called it Porting and Polishing when I was a very young gunsel. The hot set up (for cars anyway) was 3 twos, bored & stroked, Isky cam, and porting & polishing the intake manifold and combustion chambers. Your bike is gonna be faaaaast now!
    Almost forgot the dual glasspacks.
