Hi H.R. Yes it is nice. I used to have one like it. Honda Shadow 750cc. Nice bike to learn on and not worry about dumping on the ground.
When are you getting your HD? I have one for sale you know. Lots of new parts on it. The price is $6,000 now.

I was able to cruise 75 - 80 all day on my '72 ironhead, some days sun up to sun down or all night. Do you guys really go 90 MPH all day? My biker neighbor up the street says he goes 80 all day on his Heritage.

Those extra gears make for less RPM I'm sure. Too bad they haven't come up with a cure for sore ass during long rides! I'm looking into inserting a gel pad under the leather on my solo seat - I've heard they help on long rides. Not cheap at around $75 from Le Pera, and there's the cost of reupholstering the seat. Is anybody using the gel pads?
There's bicycle seats out there bigger than my solo seat.

Gel pads are ok, not great in my opnion, better than nothing. ya have to put a layer of foam over the gel pad or it will burn your a$$ on hot days,

Thanks, Don. I didn't know about "that burning sensation", ha-ha-ha!
TommyC, I found this info on installing open primaries in an old Street Choppers mag. It says to use 80 - 100 lbs. torque on the front crank nut and 3/4" play on the top of the belt. Since I'm getting no instructions with my open primary do you think these specs are okay for me to use? The article also mentions a "tranny adjuster bracket" to help adjust tension on the belt. Will I need one of those, or will a pry bar work just as well?
