Like I said, The water can git so high it will run over the VERY tip top of the dam and it will not make it to the house.
They build them off the ground so you can see the lake better.
If you tried to sell me a house on a concrete slab. I would laugh at you.
Because if its the last house built. I won't own it.

Sure is nice when its cooler outside being off the ground. Wind blows and you git it in yer house.

And you can leave yer windows open and nobody can see in. And they need a ladder to come in.
And if you want to come in the yard or front porch. you got to come threw the gate and meet a couple Big Dogs.

That was gonna be my next question to Cardboard. :D

Yea I suppose if you built it on the ground than that big crock would be visiting you to. I know if I lived there where all them crocks also live I'd have my house way up in the air to.

Plus yea got all them water moccasins to.

You can laugh. But a few years ago
They killed a 16' male and a 13' female in a creek up the lake.
People has to have fence around their yards on the creek so the gators don't craw up in the yard and git their dogs.

We don't have anything like that here in Oregon. But we do have a lot of Dumbocrats that many times are worse.

No friggen wonder you live in a house 8 foot off the ground. That would be enough to make me move.

Well my Ruger SR 762 come in today. Had to ride in a rain storm for 65 miles to get to it.

Had to do all the paper work. Shot it with the Open sights. has about a 1" group at 50 yards.
The storm was moving in and we didn't have killer light to see with.
Took it in and talked to Casey with Evans Bro. Guns.
Got a Nikon 4x12x40 prostaff spoton scope.
Got the rings for up to 500 yards.

Couldn't shoot much, a storm lighting and all came.
Buddy that went with me got stung by a wasp while I shot.
Here is the target at 50 yards with the Scope.
It was the only shot I got after I got it dialed in.

    I really like this rifle.

Really looks good now get out and shoot it more. That shot at 50 yards is pretty good. What kind or size of groups does it shoot.

Don't balm him I wouldn't mind having one either. Especially sense it's a Ruger.

That is a fine weapon. Went BAR in 30-06 for my highest power semi-auto rifle.

As to the pistol side, I love my XDm .40S&W, which is just a slightly different version of the XDs.

Well my Buddy got his Ruger SR762 in last week. We drove about 68 miles to a gun range in the middle of nowhere.
He got a scope. We got some bullets and went and shot.

This is my 2nd time with the scope. not quite shot a box of ammo yet threw it with the scope.
Adjusted the scope some more today
I'm used to shooing threw sights. Problem is at my age and the distance I'm not seeing the square good.
Here is today at 100 yards.
Was told I had the 3x12x40 scope zoomed in too much, or I would of shot better
