    I Really like the Gerstel, Clausthaler is good and available everywhere, Haake Beck is good, St. Pauli Girl is OK, Suckler er... I mean Buckler sucks. I guess Guinness and a few more are out there that I've not tried. As far as if your stuck in a restaraunt or bar limited to domestic... the O'doul's amber is the only way to go.

    As for the real beer I liked Dark Becks, Dortmunder Alt, Hinninger Doppelbock, Wertzler Alt. About anything German and dark was good.
    But by the time I bottomed out in late '96 a case a day of Schaefer was all I could afford. as Long as I pounded the first 12 in the first hour I was happy.

    Guinness is the only beer for me, won't cause my gout to act up. Friggin Irish are smart fuggers LOL

    BTW nothing is better than a tap Guinness in Dublin in a Pub... Right from the teet!

    looks like we're on the same page, Haven't had the St Pauli girl and Clausthauler is supposed to have a Dark N/A..haven't seen it this way. As far as real beers go there are a lot of very good micros in the pacific northwest I love Rogue Brewing out of Oregon..mmmm and you're bang on about O'douls amber as far as domestic goes.....not liking this clean living sometimes but the alternative sucks so for now........it's N/A

    Try pounding a bunch of 'em back in a similar way that you can slam the Budweisers and you may feel a little green....it's a heavy brew, not really refreshing..comfort food in a glass.

    Today and yesterday in Portland they have tents set up all along the water front with Northwest brews set up including some green beer. I remember those younger days putting one down after the other, can't do that anymore. Seldom drink much anymore, with the ticker problems now Dr said none at all. :rolleyes:
    Still enjoy a good Ale now and then.:D

    Doctor ask me how much I drink. I told him, he ain't told me to not drink or cut back.
    He asked how much Hot Sause I have. I told him. He said you need to cut back on the Hot sauce. I said how am I gonna git anything down.
    I live on Hot sauce.
    I love chili peppers and haberneos and japalena's and cholula sauce.

    Doctor asked me how much beer per week, told him dozen or so. He said well 2 a day is not too bad. Told him not 2 a day, save up and get them all at once on weekend. :D
