I thought it worked pretty good all the way thru, no flat spots that I remember. No noticeable power band just power from bottom to top. I know bagger guys usually went with the ev27, but I always thought it was just the guys they had install them preference. Now days I pretty much stuck on S & S stuff.

Andrews chromoly pushrods are top quality...you can use them...Or...you can also reuse your stock pushrods with the EV13 or EV27 since they are bolt in cams... the base circle is the same diameter as stock

Here's a bit of info on cam timing effects....the earlier your intake valve closes the sooner it starts building torque...

with those cams you could use your stock pushrods and probably
find it runs quieter, you would have to pull the gas tank and the top off
the rocker boxes (6 bolts each) and then take out the rocker assembly (5 bolts)
but you would't have to spend $130 on pushrods...

I prefer the crane moly, or HD tapered, the narrower pushrods tend to
be quieter JMO because they don't touch the tubes when they move...

I looked on cvp site and was wondering if the stage 1 kit is the carb jet kit or what is in that kit? I referenced it and nothing comes up except the jet kits

Yeah, the Stage 1 Basic is the carb jet kit...it has 2 pilot jets,2 main jets the CVP needle, a drill bit to get at your idle mix screw and a bonus set of stainless float bowl screws...I don't know what size jets are in the kits so maybe one of the guys on here that have one could chime in,but any one of the kits would cover a wide range of performance mods...

The cvp site shows an optional needle packing kit for the easy adjust air screw..can I reuse my stock parts for that needle or do I have to buy theirs?
