we do that at my campsite
then we go inside our comfortable rooms,
turn on the heat or ac
and the cable tv and then snooze...

Plus someone else makes the room up when we leave
and we don't have to load it up!

    LOL

Pretty much got Year round ridin here dude.

got all kinds of riding styles to ride in here too.
I can run a short run and I'm in Lousiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, mississippi
    I'm close to the coast.
Its hot in the summer but you ride early and home by 11:00am
But in the winter you ain't starin out the window with cabin fever wishin you could ride.
And when its time to look up at the stars in the Sky.
I'm watchin the 9:00 news gittin ready to crash on the bed.
    and watch the tube.

I've dun all the campin in my life with all the folks I want to.
Me and the folks I run with sit in a motel or resturant and talk when its dark.
Ain't got to tote as much gear when you stay in a cheap motel either.

We do it in style man. Motel 6 is great for seniors ..............:cussing:

    If I'm lyin ask Chucktx.

You know how it goes, :D But still wouldn't put a car tire on my bike. However I sure wish that they would last a Little bit longer but still better than running a car tire on the back. Isn't it kind of like running unmatched tires.

    good thread

Got a good chuckle about the big bagger pulling a trailer line. The last thing I would want is a car tire when I'm riding a motorcycle ...pulling a trailer or not. People spend good money to make sure when they tip their bike into a corner that the bike does what it should do. the rider chooses the line and tips the bike in and accelerates out..nice and smooth and no drama. some of us put rear stabilizers on our bikes just to keep the rear end on best behavior. I'm not super fond of the behavior of my bike when the back tire gets sqared off and I wasn't fond of the profile of the tire on the vid. I just spend too much time on the sides of my tires..rain or shine to even think about putting something on my bike that was designed for a car. On the camping debate..I love sitting around the fire in a campground but when we go south to AZ and UT most of the time we're in a room..it gets hot there and I've used the senior's discount in Motel 6

I would rather sit out next to a fire whenever possible when I go camping. Here, we can have both extremes, hot and humid and damn cold. I was up in the Cascades camping for about 4 days and it was during a chilly time of year. I did not want to leave. I like the whole thing about going to go gather wood and the pit, but the campfire food is the best.

Can't argue with the getting around on car tires years ago. My first streetbike was a 69 Bridgestone with tires that lasted almost as long as the bike. Maybe i'm still a bit of a squid and happily work at grinding more ground clearance on the E G..especially with the true track on it. Tires are one thing I don't mess around with.

Oh! A Volkswagen tire..... Why didn't you say that in the first place.... that's completely different..... They're definitely safer then anything :roflmao:

I know camping can be a pain in the ars (or back in Cardboard case), but I like meeting people at campgrounds especially during Sturgis week cause you meet a lot of bikers from all over and everyone is out to have a good time. But, having the option of staying at a hotel - cheap or not cheap - is nice too. If it's late and raining I usually opt for a hotel.

Ya can't beat a good indoor outhouse :D And that inside running water WOW! :roflmao:
