I've seen those mufflers and they look/sound pretty good. Probably a good deal since you can change the baffles for different tuning options.

In regards to main jets the HD jet is perfectly round (no sides). Perhaps the picture is deceiving if the jet is still installed in the emulsion tube. If so its fine, but I'd still use a size smaller on a 1200 to improve mileage.

The N4NN is actually a very good needle profile used on the majority of 04-06 Sportsters. Trouble is after upgrading to an open exhaust or AC the N4NN is slightly too long in the off-idle portion of the taper. Shoot me an email or PM as I have an improved slide needle that is a cross between your needle and the old 88 XL (NC65C) to give you the best of both worlds. I just don't want to turn your post into a blatant plug for this part so contact me direct.

If you shop ebay be sure you know the full retail price, then take off 20% because that is what you can pay at Fairfield, Ohio, Harley-Davidson, Motorcycle, Dealer, Used, Parts, Acccessories, Apparel talk with Jenny, you need the correct PN from Drag or Custom Chrome catalog for any part.

Also at Khrome Werks they have a Factory Outlet link, I've seen slip ons go for $20 each on return, there usually are not many there as he doesn't get a lot of returns.

Check your Drag or CCI catalog, call Jenny and you'll be suprised how cheap you can buy new.

Absolutely leave the 42 alone. I have yet to see an Evo Sportster without serious engine mods (headwork, cams, etc.) that needed anything bigger & when adjusting the idle mixture screw does nothing, that almost always says the slow jet is too big.
