Try doing a search for your carb & "exploded " or "diagram" online". Of course, you should indicate what make/model/year bike it is. Yahoo! Search gives decent results. Do make sure your result matches what it should be - you'll likely get more than carb pics than you just the one you need.

It's a 1996 Harley wideglide a mechanic installed a keihin jet kit 89-99 he put the rivet like spacer in . I took carburetor off to drill out slide when the spacer fell out. The mechanic has passed away so I can't ask him how the spacer was in. I put the needle in then the rivet like spacer ( flat part down shoulder up ) then plastic part that's in the slide. Seams to run ok but I know needle can't rise as high with that spacer in that position. Is that ok?

Usually the shim goes under the needle head to raise it up, the more you shim the
richer the needle becomes (its up higher so it comes out of the tube sooner)

Been awhile since I played with carb's,

If he has the adjustable needle with the clip then
it's best used to set the needle, the shim might be
a fine tune done by the original wrench.

Also if you haven't drilled the slide, don't,
it fuggs up more cv carbs, the user over sizes
the whole and then the slides calibration changes
and it can hunt vs move up or down, you don't want
it super loose or super quick because it could over
    compensate and then lower (hunt)

It's just supposed to be "cleaned" out with the bit
not make the hole any larger.

DylanMitchell, dude, we get it: Texas Used Bikes is the answer to all our prayers. Do you work there, own it or at least have a friend that works there? Or are you just some hack-spammer? You also must recognize that this is not a Texas-only site, so telling everyone to bring their rides to Killeen is a bit useless. You should explain why you're so fond of TUB, and not pretend to be unaffiliated with them.

Frankly, the unprofessional posting about Texas Used Bikes makes me far less likely to ever want to risk my ride there. Just saying'.........
