:D Up here in the Northwest all of our oil for gas comes from Alaska and its refined in Washington state. All the major oil companies buy from the same place, they just add in their own additives. Shell seems to always be the most expensive. We don't have any Citgo gas stations here mostly just Shell, Chevron, Union 76, ARCO a few Texaco and a bunch of independents like Astro. They all have that alcohol crap added in year round now thanks to our demo Governor.

    Chavez is a socialist punk
He is a big Castro supporter
He is a Big Obama Supporter

    for his government goons.

Got so bad here that 7/11
    had to stop posting Citgo
on it's signs as nobody would
    buy gas or food products
    from a citgo location.

Nope but they sold his gas exclusively

Don't stop for gas, so you don't buy anything else.

Citgo is gone from the 7/11's at least here,
after his last debacle, we meet at the 7/11 as it's central
to a bunch of us who ride together
    and the gas was cheaper

But not one bike will fill up there...

I thought nobody wanted to pay for oil lines to come to the U.S from Alaska so their oil is sold somewhere else.........

From what I was told years ago from people in the industry.
The u.s. wanted to use up all the oil that the rest of the world has before we deplete our own reserve.

I'm sure they sell quit a bit to overseas markets but ours is piped to Southern Alaska and shipped to the Seattle area where it is sent to the refinery.

Not really they want the price of oil to quadruple so
the US govt can get more revenue, by holding back US
supplies we inflate the cost of oil worldwide
allowing higher prices and higher tax revenue,
all the while pushing through the "alternative"
    fuel programs, funded by "govt"

Opening up our resources to drilling would
reduce the cost of oil by so much that
it wouldn't be profitable to the oil refinery groups.

We need to do so to create USA jobs
    and to improve national security
and lower the cost of USA fuel,

Our energy policy is non existent
it's an agenda driven by major
    oil companies...

The U.S. goverment and the EPA needs to have the people to bring a major class action law suit against them.
The epa its self is gonna shut the U.S. Down.

Talked with Castrol oil on the phone today.
They said DO NOT USE AUTOMOTIVE OIL IN A MOTORCYCLE.
Motorcycles turn higher rpms and motorcycle needs friction modifiers and different additives. Think one of the additives was zinc.
The Ma-2 was a improtant part of the oil too.

I think they have that backwards, motorcycle (v-twin) oil should NOT have friction modifiers in it. The modifier additives are already in automotive oils. This is one of the key additives that mess with a wet clutch setup.

JFR is why I won't run Castrol,, even if it was good oil. (It might be,, just don't care,, nothing personal cardboard)
Using Mobil 1. I've ran it in cars, trucks and bikes since the 70's when it came out.
I do like what Amsoil has to offer, but it's been less than convenient to come by around here. Just saw they have a new syn with a high zinc content for old engines, which my big block Mopar needs, so I may need to look into Amsoil anyway.
I agree with the need to get the oil pumping immediately with the multi grade. That's why all the auto manufacturers call for 5-20 or 5-30 oil, even in warm climates.
BTW, oil is like wimmin. Everybody likes something different, but that don't make it wrong.............

    HD's have three separate compartments...

We like guns bikes and beer pretty much like normal people, we get a little hung up on socialized medicine. You guys have two major political parties Democrat and Republican ? we have 2 major political parties Liberal and Conservative. your Democrats are a lot like our Liberals and your Republicans are like our Conservatives..both of your parties are slightly to the right of ours compared individually. The people in the big cities in the east are similar from both sides of the 49th. The people from the heartlands are the same north to south. The ranchers are the same folks out west are the same. Both countries were first settled in the east and the adventurous ones moved their way west across the countries to find a new life and more opportunities. Settlers on both sides of the border faced similar challenges along the way. Hostile natives ,tough terrain, mountains etc. If you look at the map of the two countries and visualize how they were settled east to west you can see that the farmer in Shelby MT has a lot more in common with the farmer in Lethbridge Alberta than he has with a politician in Washinton DC and I can tell you right now that the farmer in Lethbridge can relate a lot easier to the farmer in Shelby than he does with the politician in Ottawa. sometimes I think the dividing line should be the Mississippi River..it separates the east from the west..on both sides. Then there's Texas and Alberta..oil..ranching..grain..boom and bust cycles. Sometimes the two countries might bitch at one another from time to time but we're really the best of friends and to get back on track after this "short" blurb..I use SYN 3..for now......;)
