The new Ultra ain't water cooled.

    Nor is mine.

If water cooled is what Harley wants to build.
They will have to sell them to you.
Been riding air cooled bikes since 64.
Not riding a EPA water cooled bike.
    As far as i'm concerned.
The new water cooled was a test to see if they will sell
If they don't sell , they will not keep pushing them.
Talked to a dude at HD last year about this same subject.
If this is what Harley wants to sell, they might as well close their doors if they are waiting on me.

    I ain't buying one.

Not what I meant but was saying they said my shaft threads was a messed up from the comp nut coming loose and were not going to hold. I was really concerned with it when I was racing with Sleepy and others up the Coronado Trail in NM.
Held for another year or more until I saw a 2007 I really like. Then traded it in, don't know if it's still together or not as I've never see the bike again.

Started hearing a noise in the primary again today.
Got a brand new 2014 SE compensator installed about 1000 miles ago too.

Never had a problem with a compensator. Then one went out a month ago.
Had a lot of cold and rain and when I want to go ride, noises started up.

Guess I will call the dealer tuesday when they open up and see about going to them Wednesday and let them listen to the noise.

The 2014 SE comp is what is stock in the 2014 bikes.
    Has more oiling holes.

The stock 11-12-13 model went out also.

CB, seems to me this all started when you built the motor and put in a aftermarket one in your bike.

That WAS A primary chain TENSIONER
    Not a compensator sprocket.

Took the M6 BT07 out when I got the new tensioner .
The HD mechanic said the primary chain was too tight. So I had him to put the Stock tensioner in.
And I got the SE Comp Sprocket that comes it the 2014 bikes.

Tony Hayden with Hayden Tensioners is saying the M6 I had in the bike is O.K.
to put it back in and run it. Which I ain't gonna do.

And the Stock compensator is in the bike.
    So what messed up What.

    I ran with a 1600 BMW.
Got any idea how hard we ran.

And according to Tony Hayden you are wrong.

Stock is best means ya shoulda kept it all stock, you'd
be riding it without any issues, Been there done that
on several bikes, the ones I leave stock, (other than exhaust)
    never have problems... ever...

wasn't talking about the comp, just the whole thing...

I have many and many friends who have the stock HD motor and have had no problems. There bikes run from the early twin cams to the newer ones. The only thing they have done to them is pipes and a tuner. Know a couple guys who bought a 2014 bike and really likes it. Every time I did a big motor build I seemed to have a problems and now I just leave em stock except for pipes or a tuner.

Like I said, Tire of Stock motors.
Had pipes , air cleaner, and tuner. Wan't enough.
Get rid of your 110cu motor and go back to a 96 or 103.
    You will understand.

Speed limit here is 75mph. Stock motor don't cut it.

If I have to stay with a Stock motor.
Probably will leave Harley, even though I been riding them since a kid.
As much riding as I do. They just are a starter bike.
Always need to do something to them.
