Cold maintence

    this gasket is a very thin steel which is coated with gasket material. did you guys pay $30 bucks? this thing is maybe 1/2 the thickness of a dime:confused:

    Yes and it's a good gasket, works extremely well and holds its shape making it easier to install

    It should be reuseable at least one or two more times.

    I personally would not use any sealer or silicones on the gasket or surface it's not necessary and it will only make a mess you need to clean up after.

    If you don't like to reuse one, go get a new one, yep it's $30 but it works and you won't be chasing leaks.

    well everything looks good got em adjusted ready to put it back together. have a question: what about locktite. about everything on a bike is done with that stuff. do you guys use it? if so, should i clean the threads and blow them out first?

    definetly , clean the threads, blow oil out of the holes, brake clean them and use blue locktite on them .

    carefull with the brake clean it can mar your chrome

    another question

    what about those tower gaskets. seem to missing one.:eek: only purpose they appear to serve is as a dampener. any ideas?
