    Good point. Then why drill? Why not uncap existing wells? Do you think there is enough supply in the U.S. to sustain us for a long period of time?

    Forgot to mention, most plastic and rubber used these days contains a larger percentage of synthetic rubber and plastic than it does of natural rubber.

    You need to create worldwide volume in the big numbers
    to make the price move, uncapping 100 small wells won't do, they can't product
    volume enough at a low price to profit, that's why they are capped.

    Remove restrictions, find incentives to sell, it has to be profitable, labor, distribution, taxes, fees, production etc....

    But if you can open up areas to large oil with easy access and low cost
    oil production you can drive prices down...
