wrist pin sits in a higher area of the piston to compensate for the longer stroke of the crank . so as not to have the piston above the deck surface of the jug . deck height of 88 and 96 is the same.

well there ya go the bushing is much softer than the crank . if run out was extreme then the bushing would be toast . i think ya need to re look at this pump . for sumping !that will throw the balance of a motor out like crazy . also to rich is just as bad as to lean for running vibes . you can always just unplug the pc3 for just a short trim and see if the vibes go away? fix the pump scaring first .lol

Well, technically my plate aint got a bushing. It's shaft to plate. no ****. thats the way it came. That SE pate I took out had a brass bushing but this one didnt. Guess thats the way they are making them now.

I've been putting it back together the past 2 days. I'm gunnah go get a compression checker, realign the motor in the frame and see what that does for me.

Have they came out with PC3 software that works on a computer with Windows 7? The Computer I had that had the software on it crashed and it had XP

I couldn't get the program to run on windows 7 with the disc that came with my Fuel Moto tuner(PCIII)...,there is a "work around" to get it to work, but that was way over my head...lil honey came to the rescue for me when she saw me looking for the 20lb sledge hammer to fix it myself:rolleyes:

Did you drain the cases to see if you had excess oil in there, like BP said state of tune and sumping can cause bad vibrations, check your pump on the scavenge side for scoring and with the scratches on the plate and pump, that could be the problem...it does look like your pump ate something that didn't agree with it...

Yeah, somethen got in there that it didnt like. That's for damn sure.

Other than draining the oil and taken the cam cover off, that's all the oil that's been drained from this thing. I didnt split the cases. There wasn't that much in the came case neither.

Have you deterimed what it was that caused the damage? Does the pump still work properly?
I had a peice of a steel rocker shim go thru my oil pump which fried it and also caused some damage inside the case. Ended up totally rebuilding the motor.

Imah say, yeah, the pump still works fine. I took off one of the rocker box tops and then took the breather apart. I didnt see anything in there nor in the rocker box.

Not sure what might have caused the damage.

    is this a twinkie?
do you have the old orange style chain tensioners?

Have they been replaced or fallen apart?

Bits can get into the pump.

If it's scored, replace it, new orings
get it centered on the shaft correctly...
