    Powder coat won't hold up

you have to ceramic coat them or chrome them

Baffles need to be removeable not welded in
they may need to be cut down to change
    dynamics to help scavaging

Today I went to the local auto parts store and I pieced together what my mental image of my custom exhaust should look like. What I did was use exhaust repair pipe in the lengths that I want to mock it up in my head. I think that I am on the right track an am now considering heavily on building the custom exhaust...

I was at my indy today and he gave me a free copy of a local magazine. This particular magazine happen to have a short short article on the place that I am going to get my pipes made. Check out Thunder Roads Minnesota. As of now, there isn't a lot in it, but I think it will get there.

I was just informed that I am going to have some money that I wasn't counting on. In light of this, I am going to buy me a set of Bassanni Pro Streets instead of screwing around with Custom Pipes. I should be able to order them sometime here in the next week or so...

last night the wife and I were out looking at welders. Why? Well because I have always wanted one and because I want to experiment with my exhaust..:banghead: So, as I was looking at welders I get a call from Bagger Paul and we were talking about exhaust systems. He had said something that I found curious but did not inquire further. He had said something to the effect that aftermarket flanges leak??? NO is he talking more about the spigots or the flange itself??

Hey BP, is this what it was that you talking about??Head Pipe Spigot Rings | 741-074 | J&P Cycles

Just remember if you got no reverb its gonna hurt yer bottom end on a free flow pipe.
This is where pipe mfg has to spend time and keep puttin bikes on a dyno.
If you got no reverb you got nothin to pull around on bottom end while yer out riding

After much research Johnny determines that his welded exhaust
doesn't meet the Green standards of his state.

Therefore to keep the liberal loons out of his yard he's created a new hybrid exhaust adding 40 beanpower to the motorcycle and now whiplash is called
    noseburn.

It really is greenpower due to the color of the faces of those he passed on the way to work. A local newspaper spotted him and snapped this picture... :roflmao:
