I understood that from BP last night, but what about the spigot? The part that goes up to the head before the flange????

Well tonight I was at a buddies of mine and we were mocking up my set of pipes that I would like to have. The cool thing about it is that I was able to use the brand of welder that I am looking at buying which is a Hobart. It has been a long time since I have welded and of course using a machine that I am not familiar with made for some interesting welds. But, on the last two attempts, I think that O'l JB started to get his settings right and things may just work out for me the way that I want them to.

Once we got the welder adjusted the way that it needed to be everything that I knew about welding came right back. I used to work at a couple of welding shops and learned how to weld there. Now it is just the practice part.

Well, I just got of the phone with my dealership and ordered a set of pipes. I would like to thank all who contributed to help me make a good informed decision. After looking really closely I found that it was much cheaper to buy a set rather than have a set made. Again than you guys.....

So I have to buy different flanges for these pipes or can I reuse the ones that I have?? The ones that I have now are on a 2" header pipe..

Are they stock flanges or did they come with the pipes?? They should fit, your exhaust ports don't change size and they both bolt up to a 1 3/4" port....But, if they came with the drag pipes,I'd spring for a new set of Stock HD flanges

get new flange clips, don't re-use the ones on now...

replace gaskets in heads, use stock HD gaskets skip the SE
    version,

    oil muffler bearings before install...
