Ok..... Update... I installed new jets... 180 Main and 45 Pilot. As the Deluxe Tuners Kit suggested. Went to check the slide to possibly drill the port like the instructions suggested and the vent hole and the needle hole were already WAY over the 1/8". Should I replace it with an unmodified one and drill to 1/8" or leave it alone?

Yes, replace the slide and do not mess with that hole. Just for clarification, that bit that was supplied is not intended to be used to drill the port. It is supplide to clean up any possible burrs that may exist from some peckerwood that did it. Replace the spring too while you are in there, most likely someone changed it as well.

You should be able to buy one of those from the stealer. Not sure if CVP sells them or not. Don't forget the spring as well.

The dealer should have one if CVP doesn't.

There's your problems there...the drill bit that comes with the CVP kit is a 7/64th's bit and it's used to remove the EPA "tamper proof" plug for the mixture settings and can be used to deburr the vacuum port which is a 7/64ths port from the factory
The over 1/8th hole would be causing your steady throttle hiccuping and probably the low speed hiccups too, although they will do that occasionally when cold... a good move is to replace the slide and use the CVP kit:)

I have read with interest about the drilling of the slide (in general, a bad idea) . . . but I used the 7/64" bit that came with my stage 1 tuner's kit and drilled into a brand new slide - it seemed as if quite a bit of material was removed - not just "deburring". Anyhow, it seems to work fine.

Drill bit isn't to make the hole larger
just to clean it up and make it smooth
    from cast flash burrs etc

    DON"T MAKE IT BIGGER
