I thought you were in New Hampshire?

Maddog and I spent some time in Northern and parts of Eastern North Carolina or NE North Carolina. My sister is just out of Greensboro. Tell yea what though that freeway with all the toll booths from Virginia down North Carolina SUCKS.
With the aid of Maddogs GPS we managed to get over to 29 in Virginia and that was a way cool road. No traffic, no tolls and took us all the way down to North Carolina. It was so quiet we finally saw a local cop sitting in a empty parking lot and pulled in to ask him where we were. He laughed and in his southern drawl told us you boys is a long way from home. But that even though a straight road was a lot of fun. Took us where we wanted to go. What an adventure that 8800 mile trip was.

Not been on SR29 before, that's close to two hundred miles west of where we live. 8800 miles on a motorcycle trip - man, I can only dream of riding those kind of miles now. Back and time will not allow it, even in a cage.

I'm thinking Badinfluence is visiting family in Snow Hill for the holidays?

Oh, I ride enough - about 5000 miles a season and that's local riding, too; no long trips. I don't even put that many miles on my truck every year :).

It's gonna be in the 70s this weekend but I can't ride. That happens more often than I would like, but upgrades are important, too.

Sitting here sipping hot chocolate and listening to the original soundtrack to a Charlie Brown Christmas. Great CD with Vince Guaraldi tickling the ivories. I highly recommend it!

I have homes in both NC and NH. Modest, nothing fancy. Long story. I left there in 1990 or so on a job oportunity. I only get down to NC 5 weeks a year and the occasional 4 day weekend. My Carolina home is in the same geographic proxomity of Joshbob's, "Eastern Carolina". Great motorcycle roads and one can about ride all year round wih the proper gear.

Bet winters in NC are better than NewHampshire. Funny when you say eastern for me eastern is towards the inland and mountains where western is towards the coastal areas. Difference between left and right coasts. :)

I had a nice set up there for along time. My daughter and my grandson lived there for many years after i moved north pop3.jpg and I kept a bike down there. So I'd be able to go down in both late November and mid March for a couple weeks each time and ride some more. Once she moved out I couldn't risk a bike down there alone with noone to watch for theives. Thats a picture with the bike and my pop in the sidecar.

Cool pic. We are experiencing wide temp swings right now: 20s and 30s at night and 60s to 70s during the day.
