The Canadians sent us some cold weather!!! Western NY is getting snow. I'm not ready for this crap. I wish the wife would just hive up on her job so we can get the heck outta here.
Cycle Gear finally opened a store here on Long Island. I'm gonna try to ride there next week and check it out.

I got plenty of cold weather gear but I still want to check out the store. Shipping the bike will cost almost a grand both ways. That isn't gonna happen. Still working too so Florida has to wait til next year.

Tried to mow grass one more time, engine on snapper locked up... said screw it I'll go take a little ride. Around 50*, went south through Lake Lure, then up Saluda Mtn through Hendersonville. Only about 80 miles, but fun...

Yes, have them on my Springer and my wife's Trike and they work very well. You can use your existing grips with them to.

I have sort of something like that except there is no skull on it. It's just a fleece tube that pulls down over your head and covers the neck and lower face. I call em a neck condom. :) Going to be using it tomorrow on the chapter fall colors ride.

Went out yesterday for a 50 mile ride in upper 50s with a light wind. My core got cold and the hands and face weren't too hot, either. Think I'll try a neck condom on my ride to church this morning - got one around here someplace.

The denim motorcycle jacket I have looks cool, but doesn't block the wind very well. Today I'll try an insulated jacket I have that will break the wind better and has elastic cuffs and waistband to keep the wind out. Will wear long johns, too.

Maybe I'll try some leather gloves today. It's probably gonna be in the upper 40s/lower 50s to church this morning. Trying to lower my temperature threshold so I can ride more this fall/winter. But I will NOT go with the heated stuff. That's for all you old arthritic geezers - wait - I am one LMAO.

Tell yea what Josh I'm putting on my heated jacket liner this morning cause its cold this morning and we have a 175 mile ride to do. Have to be there by 8 AM and the circulation in the fingers ain't so good anymore so the heated seat and grips are gonna be turned on for awhile to. When I was younger I thought I was tough and never used any heated gear. Now, I'm older and wiser. :D

I use a neck warmer (tube) as well, layer under jacket... issue for me is fingers once gets to lower 40s. Good with winter mc gloves to upper 40s, maybe mid 40s if sunny, then finger tips get cold...guess I am getting old.

Ended up not wearing gloves and was okay. Couldn't find the neck condom but I have a polar fleece jacket that zips right up to my chin. Put that under the other jacket and it worked very well deflecting the wind off my throat. One of these days I may have to break down and get a leather motorcycle jacket . . ..
