Our temps are gradually warming up and by Thursday should reach near 70 and stay that way for about 3 days. Then back in the 40s.

Went riding a few times in low to mid 40s last couple of days and will not do that again.

Won't be riding today 100% chance of rain with flood warnings. Rained really hard all night last night. Then temps drop and there saying ice and temps down to 20. Temps start dropping today and might get some snow here.
The mountains here have a winter weather advisory with a foot or more of snow expected today with blizzard conditions. Great for skiers but Think I'll stay home and just run the pellet stove.
Bikes are all tucked in :)

Been in the high 20s to mid 30s here, wet, cold, foggy. Not snow, not flurries, just slurries, I guess. Tomorrow looking better, just foggy, cold, and wet. Rest of the week, same. Should clear up about April. More time to work on the bike I guess...

That's right. Today it made it to 65 and the next two days will be stretching for the upper 70s. These may be the last really nice days for riding in some time, so I'm taking advantage of them.
Our average daytime temps this time of year are about mid 50s and will continue to drop until late march when things start warming up again. I'm so grateful we don't live any farther north.

Just like to mention that when I rode the other day when it was 42 out, the cold actually became painful. When I got off the bike, I felt lightheaded and I stumbled around like a dizzy, frozen drunk for a few minutes. Then I realized how stupid I was - no gloves, half helmet with no face or ear protection, and frigid air blowing up my sleeves. Never again will I go out unprepared.

Here is a pic of our bird bath in the front of the house today. Check how the ice froze straight up. Looks like a shark. Was down to 20 here this morning. Going to be a high of 30 on Saturday for the annual Toy Run, brrrr but not as bad as Montana.

I wouldn't ride in that weather. You'd think the powers that be would check ahead for bad weather.

Unbelievably, we will be seeing around 80 today - getting a bunch of that balmy Florida air sweeping up this way. It will be the last day like this for some time. It's already 67 out and the sun isn't even up yet.

Tomorrow will barely make it in the 50s with rain . . .
