Date of Meet and Greet

Well, so far it looks like Mid August is in the lead. Someone had mentioned a central location for this thing. Who was it and where is it that you suggest??

I am thinking that we have this gathering the beginning of the third week of August and the stay as long as you like? Me, I would like to hang at least for 4 days. JMO

I agree, it would just be way more fun if we were all in the same spot. I am really looking forward to this. How about you?

Third week puts is real close to Labor Day weekend. Chances of rain are greater and some schools start around that time.

I did not think of the rain.. GREAT POINT!! I like the end of July beginning of August the best to tell the truth.

I think I mentioned a central location like, say, Missouri - but what's in Missouri? Don't know, but we can make our own happening no matter what's going on around us. BTW, middle August is too late for me - have to be back at work by around the 19th or 20th - that's cutting it real close . . .

OK, so we've eliminated Key West, San Diego, Seattle, Portland Maine, El Paso, Anchorage and Honolulu. Whomever is gonna run this show (JB?) should pull the trigger, name a time and place, post it in Trips and Trails, and those that ride there will have a legendary rendezvous. All others can polish their chrome.

Take it from a guy happily living in the sagebrush seas of Nevada - it don't matter where "there" is - there is always something there, even if "everyone" says there ain't. Also, there will be more "there" when we show up on our steel horses, no matter the brand.
