I wouldn't mind having one of those hi-po XR1200 sportos.
    Are they superfast??

Well, the wife and I are taking a trip to South Dakota on Friday just for hoots and hollers. I was in the middle of talking to Cowboy when I tried to text a picture of the rear spark plug but it wouldn't go. Meanwhile I tore half of her bike apart and I was thinking that of I were to put a colder plug for the rear cylinder that maybe this would give me the fuel that I need to stop that nasty popping that I am getting?

Any thoughts? Oh yeah, on her bike..

Yep, but we aren't going to Custer. We are going to go to a town called Watertown SD. That is probably about 2 1/2 hours from where I live. She will be taking her bike. We are going to be leaving at about 8 in the morning and am going to be gone all day then be back by night, I have to work the weekend..:(

I have never been to this town, so I am not sure. I know that past this area of SD is boring until the Black Hills, this town is near the border of MN. It will be a good time.

Ridnig two up we averaged about 50 mpg, even with this carb issue that we are having. I got the colder plug for her bike and am going to install it to see what it does. If that doesn't help, we will finish the season off then it will go to the indy shop for the winter so he can have some time to figure it out. He agree with me as well that it is most likely the pilot circuit that is not working right.

Have you pulled the carb off and opened it up yet?

No I haven't just yet. I pulled some other things off to get a look at how this bike is set up and I am not impressed. What a Mess!! I want to try this first to see if I can get a quick fix to make it better.

One thing I've learned from the past and this is just a tip I'm passing on. Quick fixes don't always work and you can wind up spending more time and extra money searching for a ghost.

Agreed, but this is all I am going to do. I am doing this basically to see if this is where my problem is. I think that it is a jet problem, but I am getting a lot of different or non firm answers to what the problem may be. If this doesn't prove to help, then as I said, the bike will get torn down over the winter and gone through until we do find the problem. I think that I am right track though.
