I got 16,500 miles on stock Dunlop tires on my 2015 Ultra Limited. I'm not quit on the wear bar yet. It's hard to believe but I can easily get another 1,000 miles without any risk maybe even 2,000. I'll definitely replace it with the same exact type tire when I do.

Trust me when I tell you I don't drive like an old lady. Lane splitting here in Cali can take a toll on tires. I've had to use the ABS function many many times.

I'll check into it. I know I can get the tire on myself but, how do I get it balanced? I'm still not sure about those Dynabeads.

I love any help I can get when if comes to safety. This bike is the best stopping bike I've ever owned. If grabs as hard as anything can. I love the security of these new brakes. It may be making drive faster which isn't a good thing.

I hit the ABS chatter a couple of times coming home tonight. You have to be ready for when cars start to squeeze you in or if they look like their going to change lanes without looking. Ya never know what the cagers are going to do. There are a few that are out to f*** with you but it's very few.

I still think that the American Elites Suck in terms of Handling! I Like the Night Dragons that I had on MUCH MUCH BETTER!

Take the mounted tire and rim to a metric bike shop, generally they'll do the work, most HD dealer shop managers don't like anyone but themselves to get paid for the longest time they fought internet tire sales by refusing installs.

So we just found local dealers that will do it, a tires a frigging tire and a rim is a rim, metric bike shops are hungrier or you could do the dyna beads, folks swear by them, ask Phil he sells the stuff too.

Next go around I'll use the beads and get rid of the weights on the rims.

My local indy shop had the OE Dunlops and Michelins Commander IIs. The Michelins are about 20bucks cheaper and even the HD dealer service told me that all the cops are changing to Michelins. So I'm now riding a Michelin Comander II on the back and it feels great. I have no complaints, the ride is better than the Dunlop. I'll let you know how the wear is next year.

I'll be honest with ya, with me it's a personal thing against Michelin. I know that they must be good but I'd but anything before Michelin. But like I said, it's a personal thing.

CAPhil sells the American Elites I found a nail in the rear tire and it was time, local dealer had 25% off tires which was close to the Elites price.

I can tell you that retail the new rear is $296 and the front $212, the Elites
are significantly less expensive and the only thing they don't have is HD on the side.

Dunlops have been good for me but then again until now there was no choice in 18 rear bagger tires rated for the RG.

Up until this year there was no option but HD Dunlaps for
the RG Ultra due to the weight issue on the bike, the load factor
on 18 inch rims 180/55 tires that you find are for sport bikes
that weight 300 to 400 pounds.

A fully loaded RGU will be well over 1200 to 1300 pounds
and will chew up the other tires so we were stuck at the dealer
counter with a big bill and a gallon of anal lube for install.

Phil was right there with Kirk on prices...
