HRK, you are right about voting the bastards out... lots of problems there too. Both parties are corrupt as hell and the few fairly honest folks left don't usually have the cash to run against the others. But you have to keep your eye on what the losers are voting for and backing, then make an effort to vote out the ones that are always for gun control, noise control, illegal immigration, property restrictions etc. etc. etc....... the list goes on. Lots of people say their votes don't count, but it's all you got so we need to use it. This country is marching toward socialistic policies and if people don't wake and smell the coffee its gonna be too late. VOTE THE SCUM OUT !!!!! sorry about the rant it just pisses me off.

I hope you were able to fix your issue, I think Low Riders are awesome bikes, but I'm not surprised to see issues like this coming up out of the woodwork. I had an 05 Low Rider that kept on surprising me with mechanical issues. I had it repaired under warranty and because of my dealer's service manager (Iraq Vet), who never takes no for an answer. He fought for me with the Motor Company and was able to get them to repair at no cost to me.

I was extremely grateful, yet very suspicious of these so called mechanical issues. I thought better of it and have traded my beloved Low Rider for an 08 VRSCAW V-Rod.

Before I forget, I have myself on a number of occassions called the Motor Company's customer service, where I have always been well received and better yet, have been well taken care of. Just like any other vehicle manufacturer, the Motor Company has issues, but so does everybody else.

I have the primary in bits now and am awaiting the arrival of a new stator so will be doing the job myself, I have sent e-mails but have had no responce which is a little disappointing, thanks to the editor of our national custom bike magazine, "Back Street Hero's" I now also have telephone numbers, so I can now hopefully resolve the issues I have.
Its my second Harley so I won't let something like this bother me too much, besides my club don't ride anything else

I too do my own work on bike. o4 dyna. I got it looking like 1969 era, just after Nam, we built are bikes a certain way and look.

Hi there bud, nice one, you'll have to post a pic. Haven't done much on mine yet apart from change the seat and put a sissy bar on and have just fitted a set of V&H short shots. Sounds like its spose to now and has the added bounus of easier access to the rear wheel!

One would think they would at least be able to spring for a 1-800 number. AL

when i bought my 03 in 04 the sales man said they just changed to a two year warranty for the 04's. i sprung for the extended warranty. 5 years for about $1000 extra, figured the warranty should be as long as the loan. so my 03 is covered till 2010. the $1000 dollars even with the $50 deductable is a pretty cheap engine or trans if they crap out.
