    Because they can...doesn't mean they should...I wait until the idle drops some,but take it easy for 10 minutes or so...Evo's you have to let them warm up longer to help prevent base gasket leaks,but still take it easy until up to temp...
    ECM is better at regulating a cold engines fuel needs than manually operating a choke so it doesn't buck sneeze or stall so they hop on and go,to hell with letting the oil warm up a bit and lube the moving parts properly...it won't cut out on them.so they're gone!!! I like my bikes so I let them warm up a bit before they go under load...same with my cars...;)

    Carb or efi I let them warm up , when my e glide was efi it kept a little high IDEl till warmed up when it droped the top of rocket was warm then ride off easy my evo is cold blooded so I just let it set & warm up

    If I remember right the ecm goes into startup mode, it idles a few hundred rpms Higher at Idle like on yer car when the choke comes in on the mornin.
    Yer oil pressure also builds up after a few seconds.
    You need to let it idle for this and to git everything circulating threw the bike before you blast off.
    After it warms up and you rev it a couple times and the idle drops you don't hear the thud from stickin it in gear as bad either.
    And lettin it idle for a few minuted it lets the clutch's git wet again from sittin.

    kinda weird the fact was there was no problem we were just into the cold start software map on efi . and some spammer thought it would be a good idea to try and advertise his shop and the original guy who started the post steped out ! because of him so us regular guys hi jacked this post to have fun !!!!! sorry maybe you should follow close. to the post and read them all . see ya !!!!!!:gah:
