If the wife helps with some color ideas it may make going over budget in other areas of the build easier to live with. She was OK with a new bike, even paint work and the engine and trans upgrades to the old bike should be less than that! That RG with some subtle ghosted WW2 style sharks teeth might be cool.

No. But I would rather pay to fix this one than get a brand new on from Harley. $135 from a little further south than you.

I brought the tank on over to the body guy today and it's in his hands now. He was amazed at the price that I paid for it.

Yeah that's the way to sneak it past the wife, "Honey I'm just going to
do the EFI conversion, I have the tank it was cheap, and it will save money
on fuel and run better and it's better for the environment" of course you put on a 58mm TBI unit that's bigger than the 98 needs but won't hurt but is big enough for the 117 that you'll do next year.

Easier to cut up an elephant into small pieces for dinner than to try and swallow it whole...

All out of them now! Lol
Isn't that the truth. The wifey is ok with all of this. I was going to say on the phone last night that since I bought her a car, she said I could buy a brand new bike. Instead I would rather do this. Lol

Well, I should have the components needed for this conversion in about 2 weeks. Not sure how this happened but Thayer talked me into a different set of pipes as well. Oh well, I won't be disappointed.

Just wanted to confirm. As I spoke with Dan yesterday, yes, the sensors will be wide band.
