I'm surprised latus does not have a trike adapter for the drum on the dyno.if you have the super tunner on that bike down load the map and send it to me I'll tweak the idle and low kpa settings for you and email it back to you you can up load it and she will run quite a bit cooler for her .won't take me any time at all to do it .let me know if you want me to help ya out .

Thanks Paul, but not sure how you download it. I'm taking it in this Thursday to Latus to have them check the tune on it. Back when the original tune was put on it they could not put a trike on a dyno. Good point about the trike adapter I'll check with them on that, thanks.

Ok if you have the super tunner software on your lap top and the cables .you hook up your bike via the vci .open the software and click tunning .it will give you the option to load from vci or ecm load it from ecm .shut the bike off unhook your cables and that is it .now save the file and name it .wife's trike BP .and that's all .send me the file that's it.

Paul it's not a Super Tuner it's just an old Race Tuner and they say it can't be pulled. There is a CD disk of the tune that came with the bike. They do not have an adapter to run a trike on a dyno.
Was told that, that is a newer style dyno would have to be purchased and a new dyno room would have to be built. They are going to hook it up and take it out and run it then check the results.

I think you should have been given more than just a CD to take home with the SERT,which is basically a TTS Mastertune under the Harley SE label...and have the ability to tweak maps....
Didn't you get the cables,CD and Tuner like in the pic below??...

No you do not get the cables when you buy a 2004 race tuner. Those cables had to be purchased separately and none came with the bike when we purchased it from the previous owner.

Race tuner isn't an SE Super Tuner,
basically its an add on module that makes
limited changes kind of like a power commander

YOu might be better off to call jamie and get
a PC V with auto tune and a map setup for the
    trike.

Oh, OK....Shows how much I know about this stuff:p...However, I do know enough that if you're as EFI savvy as I am(practically zero) FuelMoto IS the place you want to go to for a tuner. :D
HRK...Wouldn't a Power Vison be a better set up for his wife's trike??? With autotune and forget the Dyno's...??

HRK a Race Tuner as you know was before the Super Tuner and more on line with the TTS. It is not a piggy back tuner like a power commander is. It does as you know go directly into the computer that is part of the components of a EFI Harrley. No they were not as good as the tuners of today. Quit frankly I wished her Trike was a carbed model as it would be a lot easier to adjust and probably run better.

IF you have the HD tuner made by TTS then you can get the file off, however HD also sold a plug n tune box called the race tuner, zero tuneability.

If you have the TTS edition and cables you can hook up a laptop and ride/tune it

With the older Harley Race tuner you could buy the cables separately however I do not believe they are now available. I remember one guy in the chapter who bought the cables and would connect it to a laptop and tune his own Race Tuner and he also helped others tune their bike.

check with Steve Cole at TTS, they may still have cables that work,
if so you could tune it yourself.

When it starts to hit 300* then you need to start listening to the parts rattle from it being hot.
Time to pull over and cut it off.
