My buddy down the street ordered some good year hoses from a post I showed him a couple years ago.

Anybody replace there in tank fuel line? - Harley Davidson Forums

It has been said over and over.

I do not wish for a pet **** on a bike again.
Don't want to jack with a choke. Nor a carb. If you do fine.

I know what a carb bike has, I rode one starting in 1964
I never wish to go to a carb bike again.
Never want to kick start a bike again.

    Carb bikes broke down too.

We went threw the same thing with this on boats.
The Ethanol is eating the hoses up.
You need to replace the hoses every 3 yrs.
Ethanol is even eating up the plastic liner of the fuel lines.
Its eating up the diaphrams on fuel pumps.
Thank you who ever you are for wantn to save the world.

    But you are destroying it.

Rode my Springer with its carb all day today and rode really good. Got better fuel economy then my fuel injected SE Harley does.

Everything breaks down sooner or later - including us. Yup, the wazoos that are trying to save the world are destroying it right along with our economy. Ethanol is a curse, not a blessing. Don't know why they can't see that . . .

Just talked to my buddy down the street who's bike we changed to the Gates summerable fuel lines and did his bike with the heavier hoses.
Think we are gonna order all the stuff and do mine now directly , so I don't have to worry about this problem again any time soon.
This is much heavier that the HD setup.

But you still need to run starbrite startron in your gas to help fight the ethanol...

With my extended HD warranty, it cost me the 50.00 to get my bike back.
Quick connect on the fuel line come loose.

The service mgr said they had never seen that happen before ..
