God..I love the Oregon Coast. It's easily the prettiest coastline in the US I've seen..with the mountains dropping right into the ocean in places. Too cold to swim the Pacific, but the riding is awesome..especially late September when the travelers decline and the fog goes away.

Marc..I got all the respect for you and Sleepy when it comes to riding. My FJR corners better than the baggers you two got, but I could only lose you two in the straights. That Coronado Trail in eastern Arizona is one of the best roads I've ever ridden..I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to carve a few corners. I've never ridden The Dragon in Tennessee, but I can't imagine it has that many turns more than The Coronado Trail. :D

SK, your Yamaha is pretty quick for sure. I sure hope that we can all ride again together. That trip to Arizona was a great ride. I think I wore both sides of my bagger down that day.
I took Sleepy down the Oregon Coast one time when we all wound up in Laughlin, that was fun. Maybe we could all get together some time and do a long trip along the Oregon coast or someplace.

I saw a ST1300 down at the Harley shop for sale the other day. Was a 2005 with 8500 miles on it and they wanted 10500.00 for it, not bad. Went and sat on it and was really surprised at how well it felt. That bike looked like it was made for corners like your Yamaha is. :)

    150 +

Seems no matter what I do it's really hard to ride less than 100 - 150 miles in a day of just putting around. If I have a destination then 400 to 500 miles a day is reasonable I like to do that in about 100 -125 miles jaunts. Ride then stop stretch walk around rehydrate and hit it again. When ya think of it if ya cruise a state rd the speed limit is usually 55 so thats just 3 hrs of riding to top 150. Of course living where it's almost 25 miles to town is a factor.
