Saturday went up to visit folks, found some snow in the woods along the road on the way home June 1st! Got home and finally got out for a few hours ride. Left the Moncton area for Shediac, a waterside tourist area. The old Clipper Trans Atlantic flights before the Second World War used to land here to fuel up at times. Went up along the coast through some small villages, stopped for a pic of the old Irving logo, (Irving family had a large part in shaping much of province,)to Bouctouche, pretty little town with a big Catholic church. Well, big for its small popluation. Riding along the water was quite cold, turning inland through St. Antoine for the run home was much warmer. Nice relaxing day, way overdue. I use to go to Mahone Bay and Western Shore regular and in July or August. I always prefer the rt 103 over the lighthouse rt if I came in on the YArmouth ferry from BAr HArbor because it was quicker. Or if I came in from St John,NB ferry over to Digby I'd cut thru the Kejimjik something national forest. I would either camp at Rayports or stay at the Island resort and Inn which wasn't always called that. I think back then it was the Oak Island resort and hotel.

When it was nice there it was deep blue and sunny skies. But when it rained it was torrentially so. Not surprised you still found snow, lol.

I almost thought about buying a house on the Western Shore once because they were crazy affordable and probably still are.

Never made it to Halifax, never wanted to. A big citiy is a big city. You seen one these days you seen them all.

Glad to hear you finally got up and running. I bet you never thought riding season would get there.

Always nice to see other places posted here. I guess the riding season is pretty short up there by our standards. Hope you have a long one this year!

N.B. is known as the "pass through" province, as most people want to see the red beaches of P.E.I, or the Cabot trail and coastal shipbuilding towns along the N.S. coastline, but we do have some half decent scenery here and there. Gotta say FLHTs pics he posts are making me think his side of North America is going to be worth a trip in a few years.

Oh yeah, the scenery is like nowhere else I've ever been. Lived in California over twenty years and travelled all up and down the coast. Highway 1, the coast road is one of the best - if you're not in a hurry LOL.
