    Ok guys, here goes.....

I just rolled the bike off the lift. Looks nice, feels nice BUT of course I got a problem....I pushed and pulled on the front end (while holding the front brake) and she groans like an old bed frame....:wtf::witsend::banghead: Mainly does it towards the top and bottom of the pull/push. Do you think that I could've bent something while trying to get that top nut off the fork tube?? Or, is something out of alignment?? There's really not much to align but who knows, maybe I missed something?? Ok, chuck, HRK, Al, somebody please gimme some ideas. I leave for Va on that thing soon! (It never did that before)

    Thx. guys!

is your fender on or off? it sound's like your binding up somewhere , you'll have a little more movement with the fender off / & not take a chance of bending a brace on it sound's like you need to double check all your work ,i have never done a lowering kit but have changed a few front ends /lower tubes or triple tree & never had this happen

DAMN, not the answer I was hoping for, but I definitely appreciate it just the same. The fender is on, bike is complete. I hope somebody else chimes in too. Thx Cowboy.

I just remembered something....while I was tightening the front axle, I had to push the right fork (as viewed from sitting on the bike) in towards the other side to get it to sit where I thought it was before. We're not talking a half inch here, maybe 1/16". Do you think that little bit could be affecting it at all?? Personally I like chucks thoughts, maybe a couple times around the block and the oil will settle in. That was the first time that the forks had been moved since re-doing them, do you think that has anything to do with it? Thx again,

Little bit can bind the fork up. Loosen axle pinch bolt amd let the slider find its own center compress the fork then torque axle then pinch nuts in that order. Have a good trip....SP

That sounds like good advice. Mine never made a sound after rebuild.

something is binding, just loosen it all up, and see if it rotates, then tighen back up per instructions.
