Johnny try ebay for the parts manual , you'll find you'll save a few bucks & most come from a Harley dealer ,I found my cam chain set up there & saved $100, by doing it & the wate was worth it , cause the local dealers would have to have ordered it as well

I am starting to have really good luck with the dealers having what it is that I need for my bike, except of course the manuals. One thing that I have noticed in my service manuals is that they give part numbers for the part. An example of this is the part number of the rivets that need to be used for my timing cover. I thought that was pretty cool. Soon I will get the actual manual though. What does it have in it, every part number that is on the bike???

When I had the Sporty I had a book about Sportster performance by Buzz Buzzelli. In the book he had a lot of information, but for spark plugs he said use HD, but didn't explain why.

I tried Champion one time, my results were similar to what you mentioned, quick fouling. I went back tot he HD plugs. Not sure why this happens, but best not to argue with success. :)

I am finding that the HD plugs do seem to work better, so I think that I am going to stick with them.
