Not arguing it doesn't work and it will work,
its a well designed system, but it's a full system,
    ecm, wires, sensors, etc,

So if you are comfortable with replacing everything
thats cool, it's a good solution.

    Plenty of options.

Sensors too?? No wonder my buddy didn't like doing the Zipper's kit on an '03 SE Road King..LOL...he said it was a lot of work changing things didn't need to be changed...the bike runs good...pulling wheelies in 1st and 2nd...

To fine tune them,is all ya gotta do is ride it???

So you don't have to replace everything,ECM,wires and sensors??? Didn't say it wasn't good...but there are less expensive, less work to install ...lots of options... and they work well:)

    that's the point

tmax takes a lot more work to install, it does good and will self tune to a point
to really get it right a dyno is a good choice if you can find someone that can fine
tune out the parts where the tmax has issues

same with TTS or PCV the self tuning will get you 95% of the way
which is enough for day to day, if you want it spot on a dyno tune can be
done in a few hours doc in clermont fl is one of the best, picked up 20 hp and tq on the
bike we built, we didn't really run the tuner just let him do it.

Bought a header pipe with both size bungs for my 11 bike from Fuel moto.
It is a jackpot header pipe
Its made out of stainless steel. Super well made and very light. I got rid of my catalyst converter with it.
Got a few buddy's that got the same pipe after they seen mine.
The Thunder-max is very easy to install and setup.
    Takes about 45 minutes.
The more you use it and read about it the more you learn about it.

The hardest thing is puttin the wide band sensors in.

Got a buddy that just came off a carb bike.
He can read and study and do a lot of things. He is a inspector for Pipe used in the Oil field.
He read everything he could find about tuning a thunder-max for months upon months.
He seen where I got some help and what they did on a Tech forum.
He changed the AFR's and changed the timing on my bike.
He did a leaner curve for fuel milage .
This was several thousand miles ago.
It runs good, and is cooler than where I had it.
It got a chance to tune for right at 500 more miles this past weekend when I got with some other folks and rode north of Tyler, Texas.

Well, mine and Maddogs piece of junk tuner (Race Tuner) puts out 99 HP, 117 Torque and today we both got 50 MPG on our ride to the Cascades. :D I think I'll keep it.

Don't you want to tell everybody you got a 110cu and which cam?
My buddy's 110 is gettin better fuel milage on his 2010 bike with a TM than my 103

And you know for you to be gettin that kind of fuel milage, you are running real lean.
It takes Air & Fuel to make HP and make a bike move. You can't do it without air & fuel.
And fuel is what cools a motor off, especially the pistons.

I'd rather have my bike running a little richer and gettin less fuel milage.

i had a tmax before it worked well lots of tunning options but like most aftermarket controllers and magneti marelli systems its alpha n input . not quite as good as the delphi system witch reads manifold pressure witch is more of a true engine feed back input , tps input witch is alpha n . via wide band 02 for confirmation . is kinda slow . but does work well in the correct hands . many ways to skin a cat . its just what your happy with working with . i just tune whatever you got not an expert but the end result is what counts .i like the tts cause i know the sert . i like the pc3 cause its fast and can tune it with out having to go in and out to make changes . like the tmax cause the timing tables are easy to change with temp and throttle input insted of map kpa so the change can be a little closer with in an rpm range **** i wish some one would take all three and make a better tuning software program.
