Be curious how the lower suspension will effect the ride?

Keep em' coming, looking nice with the whitewalls. Going with a flat black and pinstriped look of something else? I think you have "One Armed Bandit" pinstriping nearby down your way, amazing work from that guy.

Center of gravity will be lower and that's always a good thing. My shovel has about 3 1/2" ground clearance and handles very well.

How low did you go?? If you only put 1" shorter shocks on,wouldn't effect the ride much, you'd still have decent travel before bottoming out and lean angle's won't be reduced very much....Straight line riding may "feel" better...If you went 2",you'll notice a difference, slow down for bumps and turns...Travel and lean angle's will be noticeably reduced....

You'll still have decent travel, but lean angles will be reduced a little more than just lowering the rear...
1" drop front and rear is safe, just don't go too hot into corners until you get used to the reduction in lean angle...Footboards will let you know when you're getting close and you'll hear them a little more often;)

If ever I run into some major $$$$ I will do a frame up restoration to stock. I've had many bikes come and go but I've kept this one since I bought it new in 1983. 32 years old...doesn't seem old...but it ain't young, lol.

For having my priorities messed up all my life I've been lucky to have had a motorcycle all my life. To have experienced various HD technology thru the years to include my 1963 Pan FLH,1981 Roadster Sportster XLS, 1983 FLHS, 1996 Buell(mid life crisis), 1998 95th FLHTUI anniversary Ultra with matching sidecar, 2001 Shriners Ultra FLHTCUI, 2012 Ultra FLHTCUI and now my 2015 Ultra low FLHTCUIL and which I think is a testement and a crowning glory to the MOCO for all its striving and working towards cutting edge technology, fit and finish. Sure hope God rides a Harley otherwise I'm screwed.

Can I get an amen!!!!! :singing:

I was in my 40's when I purchased it. In the throngs of raising my kids so I knew me and the wife wouldn't be riding together much for now. Had it 1996-2007 rode it every where including Western Shore Oak Island,NS a couple times and really really enjoyed it. But as the miles and wear and tear added up it couldn't hang. It was a bit of a delicate bike. Eventually vibration did its damage. Trade in value sucked..should have kept it but like I said it wasn't holding up to the wear and tear. You sat like a bike with drag bars not humped over like a crotch rocket. Thats what I liked about it..a true Harley Sport bike?

That's the same thing everyone I asked about them said, handling wore out quick...I think the VR1000 motor would be better suited for that chassis...
