Took her out 2 weeks ago, ran her about 7 miles

Today I ran around just a short time and went to the dam fished for a couple hours.
    Went to crank her.
    She wouldn't crank.
Had to her about 4 miles home on the trolling motor.
    It was 100*
Man was it hot. And no wind blowing.
Got to git the spark checker off the Boss's truck and see if I got spark.:banghead:

Well I replaced two regulator rectifiers, two switch boxes, the Stator and both thermostats. And the water pump.
Syphoned all the gas out and put new 89 octaine gas in it.
And wound up replacing my crankin battery, Autozone gave me a 20.00 certificate to use within the next year.
I need two trolling motor batteries next.

Took the boat to the ramp. It cranked and ran. Took it out for a while and ran it around the lake. The more I ran it the better it ran.
    Got the battery on charge.
Gonna get everything up to par. Fishing season will kick in soon.
The big bass will be runing up the creeks following the shad.

And the whites and croppie which I'm gonna fish for this fall will be there too.
Want to put some croppie in the freezer.
My wife has never liked fish before.
But for the last few years I've introduced her to some Croppie, Blue catfish, red snapper and all. She likes what I've introduced her to.
All the fish was cookin in either Peanut oil or Cranola oil.

Guess Stabil would of taken care of the electronics for lettin it sit for 7 yrs too Huh.
REplaced all the major electronic componets.
When you crank a outboard engine. It puts a massive amount of juice threw it.This massive amount of electricity can blow things.
Fuel stabilzer is good for 2 yrs only. Even then its junk. And it had Marine stabil in it

Starbrite Startron is better than stabil.
    Put some in yer bike.

Well then ya shoulda used Starbrite then shouldn't ya. Or drained the tank, Stabil woulda been bettern nuttin.. :gah::gah::gah:

Didn't know the e-lectronics on a boat were different, 7 years isn't much time, maybe ya shoulda downloaded the Startreck Scanner for yer eyePhone and checked all the stuff out with the eyePhone first.. :roflmao::roflmao:

Like I said, a huge amount of electricity goes from the stator to the rectifier and to the power pack and then to the computer.
If this stuff sits a long time and is not run.
When you crank it up the huge amount of electricity can blow things.

And the water pump sits and forms a set. Meaning with it staying bent in one place, it can't pump water right. Then it lets the motor run hot.
The housing the water pump sets in is egg shaped.
And the thermostats start building up corrosion.
In 7 yrs the 2 stroke oil in the oil lines of the motor has turned to grease like stuff. I had to blow them out too.
I need to replace all the fuel lines. Need to make sure the ethanol hasn't eaten them up.
I had Stabil Marine in the gas.
Gas now days with ethanol in it is junk
I poured it around the fence where the weeds are the old gas wouldn't even kill the weeds. Guess the ethanol had attracked moisture in it.
And the computer electronics to hook up to a boat is over 5000 just for the software and cords. And the newer stuff you have to be a Boat Dealer and sell boats to even be able to buy it.

When it seems to be runnin O.k. and ya do down the lake a ways and throw some lures.
And go to crank the monster and she just turnes over. You find yerself in a bind. And have to run the trolling motor for 2 hrs to git home.
