You may be right. A friend bought a Sorento and raves about it but it has less then 20,000 miles on it.

The Asian vehicles seem to rust a little quicker than the domestics, not an issue in the south but up here where they salt it makes a difference

I can't count how many Chev, Ford, Dodge trucks have no wheel wells in the rear anymore, rockers falling off, etc... on 6-8 year old trucks! The "offshore" products are getting better on rust control, and the warranties are good too, even after it is expired many issues are covered. This is one of the world's most corrosive environments for vehicles due to ocean air and salt on roads here. Heavy undercoat once to twice a year should be mandatory here, but pity the poor guy fixing stuff under that mess.

There were some issues with the Powerstroke but it's been worked out
and you'll find plenty of Detroit Allison people that think cummins suck
plenty of powerstroke that think the same about Cummins.

Since we have said we don't want to give money back to foreign
    companies operating here, aka Kia,

So no USA Chrysler vehicles they are a foreign company
with USA plants now, no different than Hyundai or Kia, the money
    goes to Italy.

Here is the new sign at the Detroit offices, MOPAR is gone, this is a foreign
company now. If you don't buy Japanese because it's unamerican based on that idealism you'd have to do the same for Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, all brands owned by Italian company Fiat.

Got another one for you... Crown Vic's are/were considered foreign because many parts are Canadian and I believe many are manufactured up there...This has been a problem for many police departments in our area because they want to buy American...LOL...They buy BMW police bikes though...

Yeah like I said content is tough, but I'd buy oil and cars and other stuff from Canada, It's close, the money crosses the border back and forth, and we like them in FL, they come and spend a lot of money....

Misunderstood what HRK was saying. Sometimes his short burlps are hard to make out?

Must be the drugs the Doc has me on with Vocodin as one of them.
