I'm with ya on that 'Nam sheet. Several years ago I ordered a tackle bag from the all American outdoor company LLBean. The bag came and it was made in 'Nam. I sent that piece of crap right back. On the form they asked "reason for return" I wrote "I don't want anything from Vietnam nor do I wish to contribute my dollars through you to them". "Further, stop mailing me your catalogs I am no longer a customer of yours." They didn't.

I've got several things from Harbor Freight. Haven't had any problems with them.

You know when you go you are not buying 1st class stuff when you go to Harbor Freight .

If you want 1st Class call the folks that make it , if you are in the market to shell out that kind of money.

I'm gittin by right now. Not living high on the hog anymore.

Ain't lookin for a Job. Want to sit home and do what I want.
Go to bed when I want, get up when I want.
Go where I want when I want to go.
And if I want to stay home I can.

H-D's leather jackets come from a couple sources. The high-end ($500-600) models are US made, but so are some lesser ones. Chinese made stuff can be good quality if we're willing to pay for their good stuff. This is changing though as there is a big effort at H-D to bring back US mfrs.

Electronic control components are sourced from Automotive Parts Group and Johnson Controls who make parts for the US auto market. The parts are spec'd to have a less-than .001% failure rate after 4,000 hours. To my knowledge there are none from China except for a couple components for the sound system. You will see Japanese parts though.
