Good tip...How do you measure the voltage drop?? Can you do it with a multi-meter??

Yes sir if you are checking the ground side negative lead on negative side of batt positive lead on negative cable hit starter button voltage displayed is voltage drop across that circuit .you always want to messure voltage drop while the cicuit is loaded. Move the leads to the positive side of the circuit and repeat. Always remember that the current flows on the outer most portion of the wire so it is more exposed the the elements .and our starter are not in the dry spot at all ! And neither is our cables leading to them

The only problem I see with the 551 it has an intake closing event of 19 degrees so cylinder pressure will rise to 202 psi so the easy start will take care of the starting issue but it will probably need some timing taken away at roll on area .if it's a heavy bike tune will have to be spot on .I would look more towards the 510.cam intake closes close to stock around 40 instead of the stock 38 and the duration will give you plenty of roll on power and you will be able to add timing in roll on area.

Hey, Superfly, great to hear what you did and the update. Too often folks don't let us all know what they've done and what they've learned. Good for you! Let us know how you like it when the tune is done.

been working way too much but the bike on the dyno wasnt sure what to expect but the numbers came back at 90hp/105tq so i figure not bad for first time. still have stock ignition though and was thinking of upgrading a little because getting a bit of a ping when under load but unsure way to to go as in dyna or se ignition
