I think from talking with the SM at the HD dealer here that was what caused the initial problem in my 2012 SE. Maddog just had his comp go bad on his 2011 and had to have it replaced.

The new style compensator is useless to me. When I put the 117 together I will be using the older style S&S crank so I will have to use the old style compensator. Will more than likely just use the same one I have now.

Just talking dude. If anybody was saving money their bike would never leave stock.
Doing things to motorcycles is a Hobby. And you get the feel of power. And its like drugs. The more you get , the more you want.

and also did a good job of draining the wallet. The last time I pumped a whole bunch of money into a bike I was still a bachelor. I now have other things to look at according to my wife. She did however told me to pick up the FXRS when I told her about it, that was pretty cool but that pretty much ate up the bike budget for a while

Heck at your age, you should be a walking woodie.

But I understand what you are saying. I've rode a bike a pretty good while.
And yes it does help you to feel young.

The Power makes me giggle. The harder I twist the throttle the more I giggle.

I will be 65 in several months. I'm trying to slow down and act like a Normal Redneck and not hammer it much anymore.
Like the power I have, but trying to just cruise a little
Everything i do is slower, my reflexes are slower.
    I heal much, much slower.
Now can I control my right wrist ?
hey we need some good smilies.

If I didn't do so much dreaming growing up. I would have a lot more money right now. My OL has told me when I had the business how much money I made and how much I threw away. Hard to believe I threw it away so fast.

And I'm probably lucky to be alive from living such a wild and crazy lifestyle.

    Hey all
I am new to this forum. A friend directed me to it. He felt my experience on this topic could be helpful to you.
I have been working this Harley comp issue for over 5 years. After 4 failures on my 09 Ultra with the MoCo just shrugging their shoulders on what to do I said enough of this failure crap. The new comp oiler intake we developed a year before Harley and released it to the market 6 months before Harley. The Harley oil intake design is a dumbed down version of ours and the limited performance of their designed shows. Our oiler kit floods the spokes, cam, splines everything liberally with oil. Several years in service and countless road miles proves it delivers.
So for anyone with comp issues it has a fix available. So as to be respectfully of the forum rules I suggest google is your friend for the comp oiler kit. I have been in awe of the number of folks complaining of comp problems. It has gotten a bit better with the 2014 version but still falls well short of this component lasting the service life of your bike,,,,, but now it can.
Their is a ton of great info on the issue and I could write volumes on it but will stop here for now.
    Everyone ride safe
    RichardK
