Did you ever see either person gear the bike down. No you didn't.
Neither or these people stops a bike like I do.
I gear down and use my back brake 1st then hit my front brake immediately after hitting the rear brake. All the time while gearing down.

Need to pay close attention to the switchback.
They have had a lot of vibration out of them.

If I wanted a bike that size , the very best handling bike they make is the Dyna FatBob. Bar non.
The best Dyna ever made PERIOD.

So you're saying you don't like ABS but Harley should make it standard equipment to avoid frivolous lawsuits?
I actually agree with you. I prefer vehicles without ABS overall, (less to break, no traction control, which uses the ABS system, and I like to spin tires once in awhile), but I know ABS does prevent crashes in panic situations. Wife has it in her car, likely will benefit her and those cars around her this winter. I think ABS should be an option, but never mandatory. I think ABS equipped vehicles should get an insurance break. JMO.

    Correct.

Myself I do not like ABS.

I've ridden a motorcycle for 50 yrs. How did ever make it and not get killed without ABS.

Learned when something happens. To gear down super fast. Nothing can stop you like gearing down..
Used to gear down when I raced Dirt bikes. You always stay off your brakes if possible. Years ago they used compression releases to slow down and geared down too.

guess the new riders who do not want to take the time to learn how to stop correctly, needs ABS.

A insurance break should come from your driving record. Not what you have on a bike or vehicle.

Look , we drove for years and all of a sudden one day you have to have yer lights on during the day so people can see you.
How did we manage for 75 plus years with no lights.
Folks eyes suddenly git real bad
Is that why they are developing cars that drive themselves.
Pretty soon we ain't gonna be able to drive no more

Let's face it the ability, courtesy and amount of attention the average driver on the road in this day SUCKS, no matter what they are driving. More experienced riders and people with natural ability can do quite well without things like ABS. Technology takes money to develop that is why sometimes things are an OPTION till big brother says otherwise. How many of us bi--h if the computer or the cell goes down, take away the cell phones in vehicles and that alone would most likely cut the accident rate in half.

I'll never agree with you on the headlight. Keeping your head light on gives you the rider a better chance at living longer. But then maybe you don't care about that either.
