Head lights have been on since the early 70's, I agree with FLHT, I had a 1969 BSA, headlight was not fixed on, truck pulled out in front of me, I hit him broad side, nearly killed me, may not have happened if light was on.

    What do you sell insurance.

People need to wake up and pay attention to their driving
If it takes a headlight for you to see me when the sun is out
Yer BLIND & don't need to be driving.
    If I'm in my F 250 diesel
    Yer gonna loose.
On my motorcycle I ride like I'm invisible.
We got all kinds of reasons on what is safe for us.
Just hope if you hit me you have good insurance
Cause I'm going after it .
    And you.

well you could have all the lights on & even those blinking one & some knot head will pull out in front of you cause they don't see you cause there either on the phone or just not paying attention because there mind is somewhere else & not on there driving , I clipped a car one night with my lights on way back in 1975 said he didn't see me , but I seen him & layed it down & slide into him instead of hitting him up right yes road rash was bad & bike was skinned up , even had drum brakes front & rear on that Honda

I know that once you start riding, you become a better (more observant) driver in your cage.

Well, we drove cars with cable brakes, then we got hydraulic. We drove cars with steering columns that went through your chest and hoods that went through windshields, then we got crumple zones and survived. The technology available now in industry means more people live instead of die. In the end it is your choice. Drive old cars, drive old bikes, or take advantage of the newer ideas. Not all seem to be for the best, but they all have a reason for being there. We managed OK, but now we manage better. Until cellphones came...

Need to pay close attention to the switchback.
They have had a lot of vibration out of them
I read about that all say it's between 28 & 2900 , I guess that's in 4 gear on a 103 , I don't care for the fat bob or too many other new Harleys for that matter , the switchback is light & looks like a mini road king
