    Looks like the wrong release plates were installed in the clutch and also they are suffering from the low bidder blues for the master cylinder

    Copied Dealer letter;

    The remedy is to confirm that the motorcycle is affected by this recall.
    If the motorcycle is affected it will require the clutch master cylinder to be rebuilt
    using the recall repair kit. If affected, an inspection will also need to be
    performed to confirm that the clutch release plate is correct. If it has the
    mechanical cable style clutch release plate (p/n 37903-90) it will require
    replacement with a hydraulic clutch release plate (p/n 37000111)

    What are the advantages of a hydraulic clutch?

    Self adjusting (to a point)less maintenance...easier lever pull...

    Ever get stuck in stop and go traffic and can't keep it in neutral while your slowly moving. Hydraulic clutch is much easier. Plus like Lucifer said less maintenance. I've had the hydraulic clutch in my 2012 sense I bought it 2 years ago December and have never had to do anything to it. Getting close to 30,000 on it and have never had to adjust it.

    Sort of like hydraulic lifters - self adjusting.

    Not quite like a lifter...Extra fluid in the reservoir will take up the slack that a cable would develop(stretch) and need adjustment,up until the reservoir got low ,then it's time to R&R...Hydraulic is supposed to last longer ,but it's more work when you loose pressure than just replacing a cable...with a hydro clutch,you have the oil supplying pressure to the push rod instead of being a cushion for valve train the way a lifter is....
