Hopefully they will still be in business. They have been in n out so many times I have little confidence in the brand.

Polaris has plants in MN & WI, but a little more than a year ago they closed WI and some parts of MN and moved those operations to Mexico. All I will say is after working on their snowmobiles and 4-wheelers, is if Victory's are built the same I would not buy one.

I have no experience with them, nor know anyone who does. As mentioned before, they spend a lot of time bashing Harley Davidson. I suppose trying to market to the crowd that does not want a Japanese bike, but does not want to be in the Harley bunch.

One advantage of Harley though, is the ability to customize, to make a bike unique. I am sure there will not be near as many options available for the Victories for quite some time.

Has anyone have one of these for a few years? What kind of durability can be expected? Until it has a track record, I would not even consider it, let those with more money test them first.

I bet Victory dealers will now become Indian dealers.

They were at bike week with demo rides, one thing for sure
the parts on the bike are way higher quality than HD or victory
or most other bikes the things have just top notch bits and
it's why they are expensive. low volume, high quality

That was the deal they made: get Indians into all the Victory dealerships. But there are so few--what good will it do?

Indians will be like Bentley cars. That is, very high quality with traditional technology for whoever has big big bucks to blow on them.

Heck, anybody could build very high quality machines if money didn't matter. The hardest thing to do is building something good for modest money. Can't imagine there's that many rich bikers who don't care the cost.

Just heard that Willie G. Davidson announced his retirement today after 49 years in the Design Dept. A short list of his most notable designs are the Dyna LowRider, Heritage Softail Classic, Fatboy, StreetGlide, among many other models. He will be greatly missed.

There are still a few people with money, although the current ceasar obummus would like
to take it, keep it and spend it for them, and until we become the Union of Socialist America it's great that people have money to spend, see they buy nice stuff, and that nice stuff has to be made, by working people, who want jobs, lots of jobs go into making stuff that people with money spend big bucks on, bikes, planes, boats that cb works on, ok off the soap box, I like people with money... They can buy drinks...

Give it time, I hope they do well,

BTW the plants Polaris moved were not Indian, Victory plants so that rumors been tested
and put to rest, also Polaris has plants all over the world they are not simply a single point manuf in the USA. Those days are gone...

But they do have lots of jobs in the USA still

Here's a plus for the Vic... A 6 or 7 year old used Harley will still run ya $15,000+ and a Victory with a couple years behind it will have lost a whole bunch of resale value. You could maybe get that Vic cruiser for around $5,000. Brembo brakes, overhead cams, 43mm inverted forks are all very nice. Oh... But then when ya do need a part or a mechanic you ain't gonna find 1 on every corner like you will the Harley shops. Well just hope your Vic don't take a Sh*t on ya when your over 1,000 miles from home and it's 150 miles to the nearest Victory dealer who will then have to back-order the part that you need cuz they don't have a well stocked parts department. And then it'll be at least 3 weeks before they can get your parts. I don't think that'll be the case with an H-D though. Harley parts and techs are readily available in every town in the US. Maybe in most every town in the world considering how long Harley's have been around and how popular they are everywhere. Besides no Vic is as low and good looking as my slammed FLSTF. Oh well, just my 2 cents.

Used to be you could get parts anytime at any HD dealer.

Most now are not stocking the parts like they used to, keeps costs down
why tie up $100K in parts when you can get them in a few days from HD
distribution. Last two warranty items on my RG took a week for one and 10 days
for the other to get the parts on order and shipped in to the dealer, and they
have three locations here in the city... Not one location had the parts in stock,
one being a trip reset button that stopped working.

Got a friend that has the Cross Country, it's his second one.

Bought the first one sold in the USA
he has had many HD's, now die hard Victory guy
they are nice bikes, nothing against them, USA made
if someone is on one why give them crap, they ride
and they ride what they like.

Same for someone riding rice, might be against
it but they are part of the riders of the USA.

Now those nazi bastard BMW aholes...... Thats another thing. LOL
