Tires are steadily going up in price, even my retro Avons. I can still get a 3.5x19 front for $100, and a 5x16 rear for $150. My wheel/tire guy gives me the price break since I buy the tires from him. I bring the wheels and axels in and he charges about $40 each for mounting and balancing. So, I can get it all for $330.

No but you can replace the wheels and change to the size tires you want.
And git away from HD sticking it to you.
On a SE SG it has a 180 55 18 rear tire. You can get a 180 65 16 rear tire and its just difference in the tires

    The 180 55 18 tire is 25.9" high
    The 180 65 16 tire is 25.83 " high.

You gonna tell me I would not buy a set of wheel and go to the tires i want.

Already been on the horn looking at this trying to help a friend with a 2010 SE SG.

In fact paying 30 grand for a S.E. who care's about money? I just think you take a hosing for the few extras on a S.E. Again just my humble opinion, To each they're own.

Some pay 40,000 for a SE bike but don't understand why CB is knocking the Dunlop tire as they work excellent on my bike, I really like em and get them for a great price at my dealer which I had already posted. Buy a friggen Honda Then CB you always seem to be knocking Harley.
Well Charlie those of us who have one don't feel we got hosed as a matter of fact I would never. Want to go bacteria the other direction.
