Regardless if you pay $40 or $30 (new Limiteds are $30K)
it's never fun to be stuck with one supplier. Competition keeps prices down.

Yep, they handle just fine in high speed corners I know I had it at PRI race track (that's where the Indy cars race). We raced around the track and it's not an oval track either. Had the bike coming into corner 1 at 115 hammer the brakes, lift and set her down into the corner then flip it over to the next one coming out into a straight and hammering it at full throttle. To the next set of corners. Oh yea they handled those corners with ease CB. Out of 20 bikes that stared I came out first. Not bad for a big ol heavy SE bagger.

The CVO rear tire size is
    Rear Tire (Full Spec) DunlopĀ® 180/65 B16 81H

SE Ultra Classic I believe is 38,990

I got mine for 34,000 new list on it was also 38,000 but it was December so I got some money off but list was actually at 36,000 as they had done there usual tack on.
I do not regret it one bit. Find a one year old unit like Maddog did, had some miles on it but think he paid 30,000 to 32,000.

Take an Ultra or limited, add in
    Custom Paint
    all the electronic goodies
    bigger engine
    custom wheels
    BYO CVO
and you'll be way over the CVO price

Ive added a windshield header, baffles and tuner
that's it, nothing else is needed, in fact I've
spent nothing on upgrade because It's got
    everything.

In the long run my CVO cost $10 or more less
than the Heritage I upgraded all the time...

What are the sizes of the tires?? You mentioned the wheels are 18"is that front and rear??... Avon has a 180-55ZR-18 in Cobra's for the rear, also a 200-55R-18 rear.... They also have a 130-70-18 Front

Avons weight rating is below the Dunlop...

    Probably would work though....

Avons tend to wear out to fast... At least the ones I've used in the past..

Avons are made from a softer compound making them stickier at the cost of wear...Never had problems with Dunlops...

Yeah,Venoms are a sticky tire....With a 124" under the tank, everything is gonna wear out quick;)
Cobra's are supposed to be a better mileage tire than Venoms...don't know what their load rating is though...Commander IIs have an 18" ....I'm not really a fan of the low profile tires mounted on these larger wheels...

Talked to Michelin and they don't have the correct tires yet
I think maybe a front but not a rear, so hopefully soon...

Just went ahead and bent over the counter for some Dunlaps,
I'll get a full year (15K ) out of them...

I just don't understand what is wrong with Dunlop. Why are those out there who have to prove Dunlop a bad tire or over priced tire. If you look at how they are built and what they do and perform they are a superior tire. Sure Harley is holding onto the them to long. I've rode Dunlop's for many years and totally stand behind them. I buy them for my SE Ultra at a very good price and don't pay the retail price either.

I am not dissing dunlop, just the absurd agreement with HD that only allows production of this tire with the HD logo on the side, dunlop has moved the stock HD tires into the American Elite line, which is the same tire sans HD logo so you pay less.

And that is exactly what I purchased last fall for my new tire on my SE. It is exactly the same tire just does not say HD on it and yep got it for even less. But its still a genuine Dunlop tire.

I know CB will come on a dish the Dunlop all to heck and don't care I think there the best tire for my HD.
