Cool. Was planning on taking an atlas along. Thanks. I think that I don't need to spend the extra on the HD Zumo then. Fairly easy rout that I am taking...

JB you'd be wise to get a GPS from tiger direct, $99 or less, do you have an Ipad with 3G or wireless?

then bring it with you use it as your atlas, it's smaller (you will need all the room you can get for stuff)
and as a plus it will get you out of trouble or to a destination easier.

plus you can update the board, take pictures write a blog, surf porn, facetime with the kids
all kinds of stuff, you can get the kindle app for free and download an atlas to the Ipad

You can turn off interstates and they will take you on back roads only, you can
turn a different direction and it will get you back on track.

Once you are in Californicaita you'll love it for keeping you out of
da getto or getting you out.. Signs are over rated

No I pad. I will go with FLHT on this one. It won't be just me and Hot Rider if we make it to California. Red Rider will be along and I am going to see if some other people from the forum would be interested in meeting up if we make it to California.... I think that we will be ok. :D

No you don't need to spend a lot on one but if you do get a GPS Be sure to get one with a large screen so that its easy to read when one the bike. I've seen some really nice ones at Costco for very good prices and they come with lifetime up dates.
Just remember the most important thing is to have fun and what Red said about the 500 mile days is very true. :)
If you start to argue its time to stop and that I know from experience.
