Ya guys are barking up the wrong tree, ol FLHT has had a shot of CB's redneck beer, even got hisself an eyefone and been cornverted, ain't nuthin betern what he' done bought I'm tell in ya LOL

I saw the LEDs at Daytona when Kuryakyn hit hte streets basically the first edition was the trucklight and it's amazing, the HD kit is the only one for the RG so I had to go that route, the lights are beyond HID, waaaaay beyond Halogen and light years (pun intended) past the sealed beam. Heck Sealed beams were around in the 50's

But y'all are correct the LED is beyond anything you can do with three halogens lit up on a bagger.. Just the headlight alone is better...

But don't take our work check out the video in the image on this page, it shows the difference and I can tell you the video is spot on.. he he

yep, remember the old wick based headlights in the first cars
heck I doubt it lit up the road, they were better for letting people
know you were crazy enough to drive your car in the dark so they
could get out of the way. "here comes ol eliziah driving that contraption again, musta fell in a vat of whiskey"

Yep, if your not doing what HRK does it ain't nothing, gotta spend the big bucks.

By the way had my Iphone before CB and its got a flashlight on it so if it gets real bad I can use that to.

My stock Headlamp (dual bulb halogen) 55-watt low beam, 120-watt high beam and wiring the spots to stay on when the high-beam is on works just fine. But then if your blind then spend the mega bucks like HRK so he can see, probably has to have em on during the day to see also.:roflmao:

    Congrats on yer find.

Went to the dealer and bought a headlight for. SE that is a dual bulb
    It's a plug & play kit
Then ordered HID kit from xenon Bargains with H9 bulbs
Think I got the 35 watt 6000k low and 8000k high
I emailed them and let them know the SEKit I have and it takes 2 bulbs
Had it for 2 yrs now

You can wire around that so spots stay on high or low just
know your local laws some LEO's will pull you over and ticket you

But it's possible just re-wire the spot power around the Hi-lo switch
to a separate switched power not on the switch there should be a spare
orange with white stripe wire that is for accessory, just wire the spot switch
on the bike to power from that, problem solved..

Mine was under $5 bills, and worth it, YOu can get Trucklite 7 inch in the $200's and it does very well.. If you have one headlight then you'd be amazed at what the LED does.

I got a "euro" style sealed beam that has 2 bulbs in it for less than $100 for the housing and all. Good enough for me. The roads down here are all lit up anyway.

I had the same problem--a rock cracked the original bulb. I got to looking at all the specs for the diff. kinds of lights, and chose a h.i.d. one (aftermarket) off the internet.

What I like about h.i.d. is that it doesn't have an element to burn out or break (uses only gas inside bulb); it's vibration-proof; needs only 15 watts as opposed to 55/60 for halogen; supposed to last a lifetime--whatever that is; and is twice as bright as halogen. I paid $200 and it's working perfect for 5 years.

Halogen element wears out and gets dimmer over a few years.... and led's cost $500!

just out riding 2nite w/head light in F.B.s post. When behind my buddies stock 2013 E.G. it casts his shadow onto the pavement where his holodgen bulb is hitting. Great headlamp. Do some searching online and can get it for $200. LED.
