    Yep !
Cept I ain't gonna be portin any heads
I don't need to type or remember all that
    That's a head porters job
No need in me tryin to do it
He has the axis machines, valve springs and which ones ,wolfgang only uses bob woods springs , and he has the Flow bench to check the heads
He knows which ports should be rough and which Omer should be smooth
To atomize the fuel when it comes in and make it slide out fast
I'm just gonna take the parts and put them together

BaggerPaul likes to type with a page of what the heads do
Too much for me to read all of it at my age
Had head porters to explain it to me
What did I fo with it
    I forgot

Got a buddy that used to build race bikes
He has the specs for portin different heads and understands it
    He used to hand port
    That's time consuming

you have to devolop a port that works for you by hand first . then you load it in a file on your cnc ( digitize off that port ) and then for the next 1000 years all the heads you load on the cnc are the same and perfect as far as port devolopment that is . the rest is still done on a seat and guide machine an finish work on the heads is still done by hand . cnc machine cut our porting time down to just hours . but if you look at a cnc port there. is still work to be done to finish the port surface . and it wont clean up areas that need attention if there is an imperfection in the port you still get in there and weld or dig ! but sure is a nice tool .

That's why they stick the heads on a Flow bench.
The flow bench will tell them if they have it right or not.

yes sir! i have certin heads that i use in automotive apps . that when i call my supplier i tell them what file to run and when i get them i do the finish work and thats it . the beauty of this is that the port devolopment was done once and years ago . they flow within the same ammount time and time again . thats why raw casting core devolopment of port work is so cool you can devolp one intake one exhaust on a v8 head and you run the program . cuts porting down to hours . not days . have some for big blocks small blocks ls1 and big and small block fords .

I'm sure yer good at it

Got a couple buddy's that build street performance race cars for pro athletics
Seen them draw on heads with a sharpie and hand port
Take the heads to a dude with a flow bench and bring the heads back to port some more
Then back to the flow bench till they got the heads where they want them
    Lot of work for me
    That's why I call on a headman

And yer probaly a Lou better at math than me
Cause theirs a lot of calculations that goes in a build
Head man does the calculations for me
    Y'all got a secure job
I was a Locksmith for over 40 yrs
I like easy work where you don't have to work hard

They ain't gonna do what the heads from Hillside cycles or Wolfgang is gonna do oh.
Wolf has the best lookin set of heads I've seen.
They are 1250.00 for a set done.
The Woods springs are 300.00 by themsleves.

Scott with Hillside is a Woods rep himself and had a super fine set of heads.
I would have no problem with either set of heads. Its just Wolf is about 65 miles from me.

Some folks offer heads that require NO hand finishing.
He might have to rough up the intake ports and polish the exhaust ports.
He has a cam that he copied one of Bob Woods cams.

If you got good folks like that to help you, there ain't nothin better that you can ask for.
    Yer a Lucky one.
I didn't take enough learnin in School to keep up with everything you've learned
I got into Locksmithin when I was in the 12th grade.
Went to work for a Old German Man and his son who was like 6-8 yrs older than me.
They taught me locksmith work real good.
When I came to Texas everybody I worked with was freakin out at what all I could do. Things they never knew.
The Old German man who belted me all the time , and his son taught me well.
Worked for several companies, than when I came to Texas I started my own business and ran it for 19 yrs . Then gave it away to a dude that worked for me for 10 yrs.

Now I'm old, retired and kinda Lazy. And forgit everything that ain't of top needin to remember.

Ok, I received a reply back from one head porter and he had said that the heads that I have are really good the way it is, but can benefit from minor porting. I think that I want to go with the intake manifold match ported for sure. I replied back by asking what he thought should be done so I am sure that it will be tomorrow before I hear back. (No it was not Big Boyz).

    Think !

Any air entering the heads comes threw the Intake manifold.
I been drinkin and forgot the big folks that do intake manifolds. They also do throttle bodies.
