That's what I suggested to JB a while back
and if Kirby gets his hands on him ol JB will get
about 20000 miles on the front tire, 3000 on the back LOL

I am pretty much off the fact that I am not going to do any head work to my heads. Everyone keeps saying that the ones that I have are really good, so I will leave them alone.

HRK, Bishops even says that I have a good set.... Heck, they are the ones that recommended these....

BTW, are these XB's the Thunderbolt heads????

They are good heads JB, but they could benefit from a clean up to get rid of any casting flaws, like ridges and shrouding like Kirby and BP mentioned...

Whatever....:banghead: Now changing the heads is something that I may be willing to do. I remember when I bought my SE's my dealership had suggested the THUNDERSTORMS. Can't remember why exactly now I chose the SE's over the Buell heads at the moment. It could have been price...

JB,the SE heads youve got are VERY nice heads, leaps & bounds over stock & will produce alot of power,i never said to get other heads, just that they can be better, but even right out the box, they work fine on most builds

Now I never said that I was going to buy the xb heads, I am just asking what people like better. The xb or the SE. Is there some sort of issue with that that I am not aware of????:banghead::banghead:

Now the SE heads are a better choice than stock, but the xb heads may give you some slight advantages but then again the SE heads may be better all around heads but of course the xb heads may flow better than the sb but the se heads could flow better with some polishing but then again the XE heads with some polishing may be better..but then again the SX heads, oh Heil I forgot where I'm at, oh never mind.

There are a few sets available on ebay that I found. I was going to ask if i would be able to take the springs, valves, guides, retainers and so on out of my SE's and put them in there, but I am just trying to discover if this is possible first. I guess it doesn't matter anyways...:banghead:

They prolly would fit JB,but why bother going through all that and still have a set of off the shelf heads that you'd have to send to a guy like Kirby to have them reach their full potential...you have a really good set now,but assembly line heads aren't perfect... if you want them maximized, they have to be sent to a porter, not just anybody claiming to be a porter either, like I believe was mentioned before, someone who has been putting food on their table for 25 or 30 years or more doing it...experience matters...:)
