I can only make one comment about those two bikes. Neither one is a Harley. I have a friend that is 6'6" and he's rode a Sportster for a number of years before buying a Softail. Maybe a Road King would be a good choice. The bottom line is: You will never be sorry if you buy a Harley. However, if you are dead set on another brand and want a Cadillac type ride, do what a lot of tall people do who want big time luxury. Get a Honda Goldwing.

Does Honda still make the Valkryie ? Couple of riders have them where I work. Not a bad price for what you get. Only thing I don't like is the sound. They are definitely a big bike !!

The Valkyrie and the Goldwing are big bikes, sure, but the opposed engine means that really tall guys can't comfortably fit their legs in behind the engine block. A lot of BMWs have the same problem. When I tired to ride a friend's Valkyrie the tips of my boots started smoking.

I'm six foot and my old GL1100 is fine, but I sat on a GL1800 and it was rather tight even for ME. Fortunately, Wings being touring bikes, I'd put forward pegs on it to stretch out on. I still want one. My old Wing handles like a two wheel tank. The new wings are like 900 lb TZ250s, well, maybe that's a little carried away, but they've got hand over fist better handling than any other big touring rig on the market, could almost be a "sport/tourer" from pure handling standpoint. That's why I want one, other than they're so useful in lieu of a small car in these times of $2 a gallon regular. I haven't filled up in a couple of weeks. Had to go to a concealed handgun renewal class in Victoria yesterday and took the Wing. I about passed out when I saw the friggin' price of gas. Is there no end to this price escalation????? Sheesh! I don't know if I'll drive my van much anymore.

I think Honda stopped production of the Valkarie when they came out with that 1800cc cruiser. They offer the "Rune", I like to call the "Prune", or did anyway. It's got the 1800cc motor. I think it's BUTT UGLY and wouldn't buy it at any rate, not my kinda bike, but that's subjective I reckon. But, for the life of me, I cannot understand a bare naked cruiser that weighs more than a full dress tourer... To me light is right, lighter the better. Power to weight ratio, but light bikes handle better. The new Wings sorta defy that, but it's a general rule. There's a place for everything, though, and out on I10 going west a big touring bike is awefully comfy. I just kick my feet up on the touring pegs and stretch out and I'm traveling on a rolling couch with a jam box to pass the miles.
